SNF Sinergia project at the Institute of Immunobiology

The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) has started funding of an interdisciplinary research project on the topic "Examining the function of lymphoid organ structure during antiviral immune responses using microscopic and mesoscopic imaging". The collaborative project will be pursued by Dr. Jens Stein (Theodor Kocher-Institut, Universität Bern), Dr. James Sharpe (EMBL-CRG Systems Biology Unit, Centre for Genomic Regulation, Barcelona), and Prof. Burkhard Ludewig (Institut für Immunbiologie, Kantonsspital St. Gallen). The 3-year project has received support of 1.5 Million CHF. With Sinergia, the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) aims to make collaborative projects in independent research possible.
